1. What werk.spot is

werk.spot is a community-powered directory of cafés and coworking spaces for remote workers. Anyone can submit a place, and anyone can leave an anonymous rating. We do not verify the accuracy of submitted information or ratings. The content you see reflects the experiences of community members, not official endorsements.

2. Submitting a place

When you submit a place to werk.spot, you confirm that:

  • The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You are not submitting fake, duplicate, or malicious listings.
  • You have no commercial interest in the place you are submitting (i.e. you are not the owner submitting your own business for promotional purposes).

Submitted places go through a manual review before going live. We reserve the right to reject or remove any submission at our discretion, without notice or explanation.

3. Your management token

When you submit a place, you receive a one-time management link. This is the only way to request removal of your listing. We do not store your identity, email address, or any personal information linked to a submission.

Keep your management link somewhere safe. If you lose it, we cannot recover it for you. You may contact us directly to request removal, but we cannot guarantee action without the token.

4. Ratings and reviews

Ratings on werk.spot are anonymous. By submitting a rating, you confirm that:

  • Your rating reflects a genuine personal experience at the place.
  • You are not rating a place you own, manage, or have a financial interest in.
  • You are not submitting fake or malicious ratings intended to manipulate scores.

We enforce a one-rating-per-place limit per IP address per 24-hour period. We reserve the right to remove ratings that appear to be fraudulent or in bad faith.

5. Content standards

werk.spot does not currently support text reviews or comments — only star ratings and place details. If this changes in future, submitted content must not:

  • Be defamatory, abusive, or harassing.
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Contain spam, advertisements, or promotional material.
  • Be false or intentionally misleading.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these standards.

6. No warranties

werk.spot is provided as-is, for free, with no guarantees. We do not warrant that:

  • The information on the platform is accurate, complete, or up to date.
  • The platform will be available at all times or free from errors.
  • Any place listed meets your specific needs or expectations.

Use the platform at your own discretion. We recommend verifying important details (opening hours, WiFi availability, etc.) directly with the venue before visiting.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, werk.spot and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the platform — including reliance on any information found here.

8. Intellectual property

The werk.spot name, logo, and design are the property of the operator. Community-submitted content (place names, ratings, descriptions) remains in the public domain for the purposes of the platform. We do not claim ownership over information about businesses that are publicly known.

werk.spot collects no personal information. No accounts, no email addresses, no cookies, no tracking.
